Below we have listed the recommended ways of getting to and from Estancia La Margarita including times and cost. Please note that these can change so please e mail us if you are interested in taking a particular bus and we can confirm the information is correct by return e mail.
We can arrange to book and collect your tickets for you and deliver them to your hotel in Buenos Aires at a cost of US$ 12 per reservation.
If you want us to book and collect your tickets and hold them in our office the charge for this is US$8 per reservation

This is a very comfortable coach that has toilets, semi cama bed and air conditioning. It is rarely full and is spacious and airy. Although this coach takes a bit longer than other forms of transport it is an interesting journey and time goes quickly. It drops you in Tapalque bus terminal.
Journey time is around 4.5 – 5 hours depending which service you take. Cost is 115 pesos one way.
Coach leaves from Retiro Bus Terminal. Generally leaves from platforms 40-50 but check on departure board when you arrive at the terminal – it is the Retiro to Olvavarria service you will be looking for.

Stops at Saladillo and General Alvear
This is a comfortable combi that takes up to 20 people and has air conditioning. It drops you in General Alvear which is a town about 30 minutes from La Margarita We can then pick you up from there and bring you to La Margarita . If we are picking you up please ask the driver to drop you of at the Rotonda, General Alvear  and we will arrange to have someone meet you there meet you there. The driver is well used to dropping our guests off at the Rotonda and will almost certainly do it automatically.
Journey time is around 4 hours.
There is an additional cost for the transfer from General Alvear .

We can arrange a private car to pick you up from your hotel and bring you direct to La Margarita.  Journey time is 3-3.5 hours depending on traffic
The cost of a private taxi to bring you to the estancia will be about US$260 each way.
- Take the Autopista Ricchieri (the main highway for Ezeiza Airport) out of central Buenos Aires; it can be picked up either from Nueve de Julio or Nunez.
- Follow the Autopista (Ruta 3) until you see a sign for Cañuelas (Ruta 205).
- Follow the sign for Cañuelas to Ruta 205.
- Follow Ruta 205 for about 130 kilometres until you arrive in Saladillo.
- A few kilometres past the entrance to Saladillo is a large roundabout. Take a left onto the Ruta 51, signposted Tapalqué. Continue on Ruta 51. Eventfully you will pass the entrance to the town of Gral Alvear.
- About 51 kilometres past Gral Alvear  you will see a sign on your right for the La Margarita.  Take the indicated  route  on your left  and you will be on a wide gravel dirt road.
- Follow this route for 6 kilometres, and you will pass a small white school on your left (Escuela 18).
- Follow the road to your left and continue for about 5 kilometres at which point the road takes a sharp right hand bend.
- Once past the bend, continue for about 1 kilometer. On your left you will see two white columns . This is the entrance to Estancia La Margarita. Welcome!
